The Fire engine limousine association was instituted to achieve awareness to both public and members in a few principle forms.
The first objective is to bring together professional and legal operators of de-commissioned fire appliances in the United Kingdom into a single organisation which will establish standards of service and conduct which will benefit both operator and public members hiring such vehicles
The second objective is to provide the public and operators with a benchmark enabling them both to operate and hire bonafide legal operators.
As a relatively new idea fire engines used for hire and reward purposes are been given a varied response by both public and law, Our aim is to raise awareness this type of vehicle by legal operators that offer an approach to customers that is safe courteous, efficient and reliable.
The FELA sets standards which members are committed to maintain. Guidelines regarding the standards of service are laid down and all members are bound to uphold these standards by virtue of their subscription.

The aims of the Fire Engine Limousine Association are as follows. To raise awareness to both operators and the public to gain confidence within both. The aims will also cover conduct in respect of referrals, cross-hires and title to clients.
We also hope to bring together the like minded operators within our private members area to stand together on legal issues, and share referrals from area to area.
